About Me

Hello and welcome to my website!  I am Sam Swartz, the photographer and owner of Sam Swartz Photography.  I have been taking pictures for close to a decade now and  I couldn’t love what I do more!  Not only do I feel blessed being able to provide a living as a photographer but I also have a beautiful family.  My wife and I have been married for over 10 years with the best part of those 10 years is our daughter McKinley (3 Years).  Married life is wonderful and when you add a little one to your family, it really makes you feel complete.

I have a great passion for the outdoors, from that I have developed a very fun hobby in wildlife and nature photography.  Which means lots of road trips to National Parks, the mountains and anywhere I think I might be able to create a beautiful image from God’s amazing canvas!  Of course, anyone who has lived their entire life in Nebraska has to be a Husker fan and I am no exception to that rule!  My idea of a perfect evening is heading to Kansas City with my wife for a Red Sox game.  Or a night camping out under the stars in the middle of nowhere!

I love creating images that will be loved and cherished for a lifetime. I know how important your photos are to you which is why I take the responsibility of capturing your moment very seriously! My wedding photos and the photos I have of my little girl are some of my most cherished possessions!

I take a strong understanding of traditional photography and blend it with a great deal of energy & style of today’s culture. I believe what I create with my camera to be ART not just a photo. However, that doesn’t come easy. I believe with enough hard work you can always find beauty no matter what the circumstances. That is why I don’t put a “limit” on the amount of time I will spend at a wedding. I invest a great deal at a wedding to assure we have the time to create amazing images, without stressing and pushing people along due to time constraints. My goal is to capture your wedding day in a relaxed and fun environment, capturing the BIG moments on, while searching hard for those small moments that will document the joy, happiness and excitement of YOUR day. After all your photos and a wedding ring are in reality, the only tangible memories that you will carry into the future after the wedding day.

Packages start at $2,495 with a secure on-line gallery for viewing and ordering, a high resolution DVD of your edited images with copyright releases for both your engagement shoot and wedding.  I also offer custom-designed leather wedding albums to help you show off your amazing photos.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer that primarily works in Lincoln, Omaha and the surrounding communities.  However, I will also travel throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and anywhere else if you’d like. I try to make destination weddings very affordable for you so please ask for a quote.  (I love to travel!)  A Wedding out of the norm can be fun because they bring a great deal of creativity to new locations.  There are no traveling expenses for a Lincoln or Omaha wedding.  Events away from those areas may incur a small travel fee to help cover the costs.  (Each trip is different so please ask for a traveling quote.)

I would love the opportunity to get to know you and talk to you about your wedding dreams! There is no charge to get together for a consultation. I know it is very important to get to know me and be able to ask me questions in person. I also like to show you a few of my different wedding albums when we meet. I meet most of my clients at my studio in the Haymarket, but I am more than happy to meet you at a coffee shop closer to your home. I also do not charge to come to Omaha for consultations. So please email or call me with your questions, or to set up a time to discuss your wedding day!
